I am available for campus workshops and/or to come to speak about active learning and innovative pedagogies in multiple platforms, including face-to-face classes, as well as online, flipped, and hybrid formats. I can also present assignments and talk about assignment design to support flipped classrooms. Workshops or talks can be tailored to campus needs. I can also consult individually with faculty one-on-one.
"My students had no difficulty in understanding the premise of [Gretchen McKay's Byzantine Iconoclasm Reacting] game, and I thank you for your clear, succinct digesting of often complicated historical materials in the game book. Your preparation made it easy to adapt the game. It was a refreshing learning experience; we had lots of fun with the game at a time in the semester when energies often sag!" -- Joan Varnum, Professor, Liberal Studies Program, New York University
"Not only does Gretchen have a compelling presence, she has a LOT of experience with different approaches to teaching, and she is terrific at articulating them." -- Steve Kerby, Director of Instructional Technology, McDaniel College
